Casa Hilda

The 90 m² historical house, in the rural hills above the town of Arico, has a very special charm that exudes an air of fortification and cosiness. Behind very thick walls, made of natural stone bound with clay, there is a sleeping complex with two bedrooms and a bathroom. And on the other side of the small alley, the living building consists of a beautiful lounge with sitting area and dining table, satellite TV and radio, kitchen and another bathroom. The house has WiFi for all uses. One of the bedrooms is divided into an upper and a lower sleeping area, as is the traditional custom. Original wooden ceilings, multiply insulated with little stones and wood scraps, unfold their harmonious effect above rooms that, to this day are filled with antique utensils and cultural objects. In front of the large window of the living room, with a view across the ocean, is a garden with a myriad of different plants and a large roofed southern terrace, under which there is a fantastic barbecue area and outside kitchen. In the surrounding area are a number of beaches along the southeast coast, which is still surprisingly undeveloped from a tourist perspective and often has very good fish restaurants. Another speciality are rural taverns with outstanding regional cuisine.
